New Year Changes at Prodigy

New Year Changes at Prodigy Change #1:  Precision Elite will be restricted to just those who have applied and have been accepted into the group.   The Precision Group has been training consistently together for the past two months.  This elite team is built on the concept of training under the same coach and same system to build consistency in their training.  We have been having wrestlers join in on the practice without permission from the coaches.   Wrestlers may be asked to join the Precision practice on a need to basis based on the partners available for each group.  Precision will practice from 6-8 pm on the Red Mat.  Wrestlers not in Precision or not invited into practice will be asked to join the OAC State Training Session on the white mat (near the railing). Lane Abrams, Nicolas Alvarez, Austin Alvarez, Jack Berry, Jack Brock, Tyler Brock, Jayden Cochran, Elijah Givens, Gabriel Godsey, John Green, Luke Green, Conner Kleinberg, Korey Marx, Logan Montoya, Gage Mullins, Ethan Pickens, Brayden Phillips, Sterling Segal, Eli Spencer, Caleb Thomas, Timmy Woods, Cole Skinner, Dustin Norris, Dillon Campbell, Bodhi Campbell Change #2:  Prodigy would greatly appreciate that parents and siblings stay on gray flooring near the railing due to safety issues and lack of space on the mats. Prodigy has grown greatly over the past year and we thank everyone for their belief in what we are doing.  Due to the higher number of wrestlers now participating and the expectation of having even more in the room during State Training, we ask that parents stay at the railing (on the gray), at the windows, or on the bleachers.   We are sorry for the inconvenience but it has become a safety issue and we need to keep...

Prodigy State Training Starts Monday, January 4th!

2016 Prodigy State Training Begins January 4th! Prodigy State Training Information Last season, Prodigy began to provide an opportunity for area wrestlers to train together and prepare for the state tournaments (OAC and OH-Way) at the end of the season.  Bringing together wrestlers focused on reaching their goals and having coaches who can prepare these wrestlers to compete at a high level, is the reason many of the wrestlers who trained at Prodigy were on the state podium at the end of the season. In order to meet the needs of all levels of wrestlers, Prodigy created a system that allowed parents and wrestlers a chance to “pick and choose” areas of wrestling that would benefit them best.  A schedule was created and followed so that wrestlers could come and go as they needed during a three hour time frame in order to reach their goals.   In January, the schedule will be: 5:30-6:30  Technique (wrestlers will be introduced to basic and advanced level technique) 6:30-7:00  Drilling to improve their technique and for conditioning 7:00-8:00  Live Wrestling 8:00-8:30  Conditioning   Wrestlers who would like to work on technique can come early for technique and drilling. Wrestlers who want more intensity may want to come for drilling, live, and conditioning.   The schedule will adjust to have more drilling and less technique as we get closer to the state...
